Spring Summer 2019: Kaftans are all the rage in Pakistan

March and April are the months when I start my shopping for clothes for the year. This year I was surprised to see so many kaftans on instagram stories of various designers as well as on the PFDC Fashion week runway.
Kaftans are versatile in the sense that they can be worn as casual, semi-formal as well as formal clothes. Add a few embellishments and you are ready to attend the next wedding. They are also common in both western and eastern wear.
